Senate Appropriations Committee Releases Draft FY 2022 Appropriations Package Providing $39.152 Million for Surface Transportation Board

On October 19, 2021, Chairman of the Senate Appropriation Committee Patrick Leahy (D-VT) released his draft FY 2022 appropriations measure that would provide a record $39.152 million for the Surface Transportation Board (STB).  Along with this record amount, this draft measure includes corresponding report language addressing concerns about the pace of regulatory proceedings and the possibility STB utilizing of a greater use of Cost-Benefit-Analysis.   View FRCA’s position paper “FRCA STB FY 2022 Position Paper” and “FRCA’s STB FY 2022 Appropriations Side-by-Side”.
