Record Funding for Surface Transportation Board in FY 2022 Appropriations

On March 15, 2022, President Biden signed into law, P.L. 117-103, the FY 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act providing a record $39.152 million for the Surface Transportation Board (STB).  This measure also includes corresponding report language expressing concerns over the possibility of the STB incorporating greater use of cost-benefit analysis in its proceedings.  Details can be found via FRCA’s FY 2022 STB Side-by-Side.
