House Appropriations Committee Approves Record $42.029 Million for the Surface Transportation Board in FY 2023 Funding
On June 30, 2022, the House Appropriations Committee approved a its FY 2023 Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) draft bill by a 32 to 24 vote including $42.029 million for the Surface Transportation Board (STB). This is a little more than the $41.429 million recommended in the Administration’s FY 2023 Budget, and above the current FY 2022 appropriated funding for the STB at $39.152 million. On June 17, 2022, FRCA submitted a letter to the House Appropriations Committee requesting that the panel approve, at a minimum, the $41.429 million for the Board.
