The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation will convene a full committee hearing, “Freight Rail Transportation: Enhancing Safety, Efficiency, and Commerce” on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 10 a.m. The hearing will focus on challenges facing our nation’s freight rail network created by higher demand, rules and regulations, and infrastructure needs.M “From agriculture to energy production and finished goods, freight rail is a critical lifeline for our economy that also directly employs more than 180,000 Americans,” said Commerce Committee Chairman Sen.
