Freight Rail Customer Alliance Submits Comments on First-Mile Last-Mile to the Surface Transportation Board

On December 17, 2021, the Freight Rail Customer Alliance (FRCA) filed comments in response to the Board’s public comment request in STB Ex Parte No. 767, FIRST-MILE/LAST-MILE SERVICE (FMLM).

Joining FRCA in this submittal were the National Coal Transportation Association (NCTA), Portland Cement Association (PCA), Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA), and Western Coal Traffic League (WCTL).  This STB FMLM public comment request stemmed from letters of concern submitted by FRCA, NCTA and other shipper groups in 2020 regarding the need for rail carriers, in the aggregate, to submit FMLM data to the Board.  Read more
