FRCA Supports $37.5 Million for the STB in FY 2021 Appropriations
On April 21, 2020 and on April 20, 2020 FRCA sent a letter to the House Appropriations Committee and Senate Appropriations Committee supporting the Administration’s recommended $37.5 million for the STB in FY 2021. In these letters, FRCA also requested the appropriation panels to include accompanying report language (similar to text approved in previous Fiscal Years) expressing concerns about 1) the STB not having a full complement of Board Members; 2) remaining freight rail service problems adversely impacting shippers; and, 3) industry pressure to utilize a greater use of cost-benefit-analysis.
