The Freight Rail Customer Alliance, which is made up of utility, chemical and other industry trade groups, wrote to Trump on Friday urging him to nominate Deb Miller, a Democrat, for another term on the Surface Transportation Board. The umbrella group also wants the Senate to confirm Patrick Fuchs, Michelle Schultz and Martin Oberman. Right now, STB has two members: Miller and Chairwoman Ann Begeman. “There has been no substantial action on major rulemakings — some of which have been pending before the board for years — that would reform existing STB processes,” reads FRCA’s letter, signed by spokeswoman Ann Warner.
