Surface Transportation Board Orders Four Class Is to Correct Submitted Service Recovery Plans and Performance Data

On June 13, 2022, the Surface Transportation Board (Board) issued an Order directing BNSF, CSX, NS, and UP to correct deficiencies in their rail service recovery plans filed in response the Order issued on May 6, 2022.  In this Order, the Board states several concerns including: “….Unfortunately, these four carriers submitted plans that were perfunctory and lacked the level of detail that was mandated by the Board’s [May 6ht] order.”
